Composition

The play is composed in acts and scenes. There are five acts throughout the play with up to five scenes per act, where different characters are on and off talking. The play do also have a plot development and a turning point. The plot development increases gradually while reading the play.

The conflict is split between an internal and an external conflict. In the internal conflict, there is a conflict between Hamlet and his own conscience. He's not sure whether to kill Claudius straight away or listen to his conscience and wait for proof.
