Examiner: In this part of the examination you will have to give your opinion on the following statement: “An eye for an eye makes the whole world blind”. In your opinion, what does this mean?

Student: I think that this quote is referring to the idea of revenge and justice. It implies that if a person does harm to another, the victim will get revenge for what was done in the same way, therefore leading to both of them becoming "blind".
