Preserving buildings
Architecture as a form of art has evolved dramatically over the years, with some changes that are practical and others that are not nearly as aestheticallypleasing as what came before.
However, regardless of your preference in terms ofpracticality and looks, one cannot deny the importance of old buildings in the grand scheme of things. There are several reasons why we should preserve old buildings, and I will try to explain them all in detail in the following paragraphs.
First of all, preserving buildings means preserving our heritage. Those who forget history are doomed to repeat it. Keeping old, meaningful buildings intact creates the opportunity of developing tourism in the area. Thus, teachers will be able to take their students to the said building and offer them a meaningful tour of the place, the building’s history, and so much more.
Secondly, it is not only historical buildings that need to be preserved but also common ones as well. While not everyone might want to live in an old apartment complex, it is definitely useful when it comes to offering more people a housing solution. The local authorities might even be able to solve their town’s homeless problem by doing so.
